Health screening is intended to establish both:
- an individual’s baseline health prior to engagement on a task or potential exposure to a hazard; and
- continued monitoring to ensure early detection of any health issues which would, combined with their role, put them at increased risk of disease or injury.
Health screening is considered ‘good practice’ and an effective way of promoting a healthy lifestyle. Health Screening can cover but is not limited to:
- Disability or Neuro Diversity
- Display Screen Equipment
- Drivers
- Food Handling
- Forklift Truck
- Lone Workers
- New and Expectant Mothers
- Pre-Placement
- Young Workers

Health screening is usually indicated following a risk assessment, pre-employment or employee health questionnaire.
A face-to-face assessment will usually be offered. Appointments cover information relevant to reducing specific risks, alongside general health and lifestyle information. We can also provide outcome reports and other management recommendations.
